What is SportsDataAPI?
SportsDataAPI is a platform providing real-time sports data through RESTful APIs. We cover 13 sports with endpoints for live scores, odds, standings, player statistics, fixtures, and more.
Which sports are supported?
We cover Football, Basketball, NBA, NFL & NCAA, Hockey, Formula 1, Baseball, MMA, Rugby, Handball, Volleyball, and AFL. Each sport has a dedicated API with sport-specific endpoints.
How many countries and leagues do you cover?
Our data spans 190+ countries with thousands of leagues and competitions. Football alone covers 1,000+ leagues. Coverage varies by sport.
Is the data available in real-time?
Yes, on paid plans (PRO, ULTRA, MEGA) data is delivered in real-time. The free plan has a 15-minute delay on live data.
Authentication
How do I get an API key?
Sign up for a free account on our homepage. Your API key will be available in your dashboard immediately after registration.
How do I authenticate requests?
Pass your API key in the x-apisports-key header on every request. Example: x-apisports-key: YOUR_API_KEY
Can I have multiple API keys?
The number of API key seats depends on your plan. Free and PRO get 1 key, ULTRA gets 2, and MEGA gets 3. Each key shares the same rate limits.
What happens if my API key is compromised?
You can regenerate your API key from the dashboard at any time. The old key will be immediately invalidated.
Pricing & Billing
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan gives you 100 requests per day with a 10 requests/minute rate limit. No credit card required, no time limit.
What are the paid plan prices?
PRO is $19.99/mo, ULTRA is $49.99/mo, and MEGA is $99.99/mo. Annual billing saves 20% on all plans.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. Changes take effect immediately. When upgrading, you pay the prorated difference. When downgrading, credit is applied to your next billing cycle.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe.
Technical
What is the response format?
All responses are JSON with a consistent structure: get (endpoint name), parameters (your query), errors (array), results (count), paging (pagination), and response (data array).
What are the rate limits?
Free: 100/day, 10/min. PRO: 7,500/day, 150/min. ULTRA: 75,000/day, 450/min. MEGA: 150,000/day, 900/min. Exceeding limits returns a 429 status code.
Do you have webhooks?
Yes, webhook notifications are available on ULTRA and MEGA plans. You can subscribe to events like match start, goal scored, match end, and more.
What is the API uptime?
We maintain a 99.9% uptime SLA with enterprise-grade infrastructure, redundant servers, and global CDN distribution.
Is there a sandbox or testing environment?
The free plan effectively serves as a sandbox. You get 100 requests/day to test and develop against real data with no cost or commitment.
