Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the SportsDataAPI platform, website, or any associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including developers, organizations, and visitors.

API Access and Usage

To access the API, you must register for an account and obtain an API key. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and for all activity that occurs under your account. Each API key is for use by a single individual or organization unless your plan includes multiple seats.

API usage is subject to the rate limits and request quotas associated with your subscription plan. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension of access. You agree not to circumvent rate limits through multiple accounts, key rotation, or other means.

Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at the time of purchase. Prices are in USD and do not include applicable taxes, which will be added where required. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice.

Service Level Agreement

SportsDataAPI targets 99.9% monthly uptime for paid plans. Uptime is measured as the percentage of time the API is operational and responding to valid requests. Scheduled maintenance windows, announced at least 24 hours in advance, are excluded from uptime calculations. In the event of a service disruption exceeding SLA commitments, eligible customers on ULTRA and MEGA plans may request service credits.

Intellectual Property

The SportsDataAPI platform, including its design, documentation, and technology, is owned by SportsDataAPI and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of applications you build using our API. Sports data provided through the API is licensed for use in your applications in accordance with your subscription plan.

Data Accuracy and Warranties

While we strive to provide accurate and timely sports data, the platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that data will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Sports data may be subject to corrections, delays, or discrepancies due to factors beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SportsDataAPI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time for violation of these terms, abuse of the service, or non-payment. Upon termination, your right to use the API ceases immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on our website at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
